These leggings are a great canvas for bold prints or for adding your own style lines.
The leggings are a quick and easy project, because the sewing pattern only has one piece, there is no side seam, only an inseam.
Because your legs are all different, it features 3 inseam lengths and an elastic waist. And the legs are drafted with subtle curves to accomodate your calfs and knees. It includes lines on the pattern and measurements of the knee, calf and ankle to help you check and tweak the pattern to fit your shape even better.
The pattern has a lot of negative ease and works best with 4-way stretch fabricswith at least 70% crosswise stretch and 50% lengthwise stretch.
From the pattern testers:
"I didn’t change a single thing, and they fit amazing. I was worried about the fit in the hip/ butt area but they are exactly the right size without being too tight."
"Actually, finding fabric was the toughest part"
"I learned that sewing knits was not as hard as I was building up in my head. I finished this garment within 2.5 hours of work which is so much quicker than I ever thought it would have taken."

Visit product page →You can sew this batwing pattern as a dress or a top and it has two sleeve options; short and long. The long sleeve version will be a stylish addition to your wardrobe for the colder months of the year. It's loosely draped on top, but the long sleeves are fitted and the dress has a fitted bottom with negative ease. Fabrics with 50% stretch work best for this pattern. #ckelskan or check out some of the tester tops and dresses on the blogWhat others have said about the pattern:“ It was so quick to make too, which makes it a satisfying project. I actually think I cut and sewed it up on the serger in about an hour! ““The garment construction is unlike any pattern I have seen before, I loved the way it all came together like a surprise. It isn't difficult & really quick to make but requires trust that it will work out. “

FABRIC SUGGESTIONUse stretch knit fabrics with good recovery and at least 50% crosswise stretch. I recommend at least 5% spandex. You want to avoid rib knits and interlock-knit fabrics since the ends do not roll as single jersey does. Single jersey is basically what most T-shirts are made off. The edge of the jersey will naturally curl to the right side of the fabric. You can use cotton spandex (lycra, elastane), rayon (viscose, modal, lyocell) spandex or other blends with spandex. Light or midweight fabrics give best result.

What others have said about the patterns:“The yoke construction is genius, I tried this method once before but it didn't work for me. The instructions and diagrams are clear and the yoke worked out first time: I gave a little squeal of joy when I turned it out!
This pattern has the correct amount of techniques to challenge the sewist without being tedious. A very enjoyable & satisfying sew ”
" If I were just starting out, I would appreciate having a pattern like this that showed me how to do a stand collar, basic sleeve plackets, and a button band without a separate piece (much easier to pattern match). Also love the burrito yoke method! It was my first time trying that, and your instructions were very easy to follow - I was successful at my first attempt! "

Workshop is inclusief:

During the workshop you will make a shoulder bag made of cork leather. You'll work with with on of the ready-made patterns, but you can vary in details such as the placement and length of the shoulder strap and of course the colors of the cork and the haberdashery. I'll share my tips and tricks for working with this beautiful material and assist you throughout the process.
There is a choice of cork leather in the colors: white, black, natural and natural with gold accents and there are matching haberdashery to choose from
Cork leather is a high-quality alternative to leather, because it is vegan, supple, water-repellent, durable and easy to process on a regular sewing machine.
The workshop is suitable for beginner and advanced sewers, but some experience behind the sewing machine is a prerequisite for participation. The construction of the bag is simple and this workshop is a nice introduction to working with cork leather and inserting a zipper.
The workshop includes:
- Cork leather, zipper and all the notions for one bag.
- The use of tools and sewing machines.Accessability: the workshop is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift

Zelf meenemen:- Een bos plantaardig materiaal, vers of gedroogd.

------------------------------------------------------------------During the workshop you will work with uv light sensitive paint on fabric to make a botanic photogram on a cotton tote bag.
A photogram is a picture produced with light-sensitive paper, but without a camera.
There is fabric to make two test prints and you get an organic cotton bag to work withAfter an explanation and demonstration you get to experiment with the paint and materials to create your own compositions. You can make two test prints before you create the final print on the bag
We'll use a UV lamp to develop and set the paint. After washing out the undeveloped emulsion, the printed fabric is washable and lightfast.
Bring your own:- A bunch of plant material, either fresh or dried. For example: Sprigs with small leavesor flowers, fern leafs, loose leafs, palm leafs. You can also bring some other small objects to experiment with, such as feathers.
- An apron or wear clothes on which a spot of paint is not a problem.
- The workshop includes materials to print on, but you can also bring a washed piece of fabric or a piece of clothing with you, provided it is made of natural material. White or very light colours work best.
- A plastic bag for the washed items. For the best result you'll need to wash your prints again at home.
The workshop includes:- A small selection of (fresh or dried) flowers or plants from Rotterdam.
- Sensitive paint in a number of colors
- Use of the tools and materials during the workshop
- Fabric and / or a small bag for 2 test prints of approximately A4 size
