Q&A
Who are
you and what is it that you do?
A dreamer and hopeless romantic. An ambitious, passionate and
always busy girl with a big thing for fashion and words.
I'm a sucker for pretty clothes and
accessories, that's why I've made it my main focus both on and off
the clock.
Why did
you start a blog? And how did that and your style
evolve?
I started my blog in a rush of inspiration a few months ago. I
had so many ideas and thoughts making rounds in my head, and
decided to share it with the universe through my blog. I am so
incredibly grateful and flattered to get to know and perhaps ispire
so many people with the same passion I have for the industry that I
love. It already brought me so much, I had no idea! It's more than
just 'another' blog to me, Raspberry & Rouge is more of a
personal diary, in which you can follow little parts of my life and
journeys. It's constantly evolving. I
am trying to turn my blog into something bubbly, fun and creative
with a special attention for pretty photography. The latter makes
it more fun for my boyfriend too, to enjoy and improve this
'project' together.
What
makes you different from other bloggers?
My blog is very me. It fits me so
well. You could definitely spot me in one of the outfits I'm
wearing any day. Apart from the clothing part, I think my blog
distinguishes from some other blogs is the effort that's put in to
the quality of the photography. Trying to find great places to
shoot, getting creative with angles and all the great functions on
our cam!
Who is
your biggest inspiration/aspiration?
I don't really have a who, I do have a what. There are many things that inspire me. Apart from the
huge creativity of fellow bloggers and magazines, I get many
inspirations out of my travels too. I am real city girl, in love
with anything urban: architecture, shops, parks, restaurants and of
course street style. Just walking around in a great city like New
York, my ultimate favourite, makes me so happy and
satisfied.
Why did
you decide to join the Play&Pose project?
I decided to join the great Play & Pose project because it
embodies something very creative. A very talented up and coming
designer, trying something out of the regular. Handing over some of her control to bloggers, to give them
the freedom to style and play with the Charlotte Kan designs. It
forces you to be creative and deliver something great for someone
incredibly gifted. I am very honoured to be a part of this special
project.
Tell us
something about how you combined the Charlotte Kan
garment.
I've received a loose fitted bright purple longer length
shirt, asking for a tighter and shorter partner. One of my
favourite go-to looks is pairing denim cut-offs with shirts
(preferably my boyfriends), so I was indeed very happy to receive
this beautiful piece. Spiced up with bare legs and gladiator heels
for that extra bit of edge. A shirt with such a strong charisma
doesn't need many accessories, that's why I've combined it with
simple cuffs, a small belt and chunky ring.
How do
you see the future of fashion blogs? Will their influence change?
Will the medium or the
technology change?
I think bloggers really do have a
great future in fashion, that's why I feel so close to the
Charlotte's vision. Blogs are a great way to give the
fashion-loving public a voice, to stimulate streetstyle creativity.
Anyone can make it. All it takes is a dream, a passion and loads of
hard work. I think the blogosphere were increase intensively and
will keep having a growing influence on both designers and
magazines. So I do think bloggers will expand their territory in
all sorts of media.
Do you
know any inspiring new kids on the block we should add to our
blogroll immediately?
There are just so many! I keep
discovering great new blogs each and every day!
What are
your dreams and plans for the future?
I think it is important to create your own reality, to have
many dreams and aspirations, without blocking yourself. To live day
by day, enjoy life to the fullest and trying to remind yourself
what it is that you live for and love. So that's what I am trying
to do. One major dream for me, something I can't wait to turn into
reality, is living in New York City. The upmost inspiring, bubbly
and vibrant place I've ever been and can't wait to be a part of one
day. To experience the vibe, creativity and rush of one of the
greatest cities on this earth, in my believe!
